Minimum University and Programme Requirements – Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination:

Selection Principle: Best 5 subjects (using the HKDSE Score Conversion Scale outlined in Q14 of the FAQ section on the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid website)

Notes:
The conversion of levels to scores:  5** = 8.5, 5* = 7, 5 = 5.5, 4 = 4, 3 = 3, 2 = 2, 1 = 1
– Admission statistics is for reference only. Admission to the programme is on a competitive basis, since the number of places available is normally far less than the number of eligible applicants. In this regard, satisfying the minimum entrance requirements of the programme does not therefore guarantee admission.


International and Non-JUPAS
Applicants can apply for admission to the DIPL Programme on the strength of a variety of qualifications, including but not limited to: GCE AL/ International AL, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, SAT/ ACT/ AP and OSSD/ BC. 

Applicants are required to meet (1) general requirements, (2) language requirements and (3) programme-specific requirements. General minimum requirements are for guidance only. Satisfying requirements does not guarantee admission, as admission is on a competitive basis.

Mainland Gaokao
