Introduction

Social Science – Searching for True Love

Social Science includes various academic disciplines that study the functioning of human society and social relationships among individuals. Each Social Science subject offers a unique disciplinary perspective and involves knowledge and skills to decipher how society and individuals as part of society are intertwined.

Kicking starts the academic journey in Social Science with a broad base allows students to explore and learn more about the disciplines and how they interact. The curriculum design enables students to find their interests and paves the way for them to become social scientists, who can contribute to the well-being of individuals in society.

What is Dual-mode Admission?

In parallel with programme-based admission, students can choose Social Science Broad-based admission line which provides students with an option to explore their real interests in the field of Social Science.

In the first year of study, students enrol in faculty package courses without committing to a particular major. From second year onwards, students commit to one major Social Science programme to pursue a Bachelor degree of Social Science. They are also opened with many opportunities in addition to studying their chosen majors to enrich their academic journey. These include minor programmes, overseas exchange programmes, internships and double degrees.
